Losing a Pet Hurts More Than People Expect.
You don’t have to grieve alone.
Our animals are woven into our daily lives. They greet us in the morning. They sit beside us at night. They become part of our routines, our comfort, and our sense of home. When they are gone, the house becomes quieter, and the grief can feel overwhelming.
People may try to comfort you, but not everyone understands how deep this loss truly is.
Grief after losing a pet is real. The bond you shared mattered. And your pain deserves support.
There is nothing “too much” about your grief. The depth of your pain reflects the depth of your love.

About Laurie
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in grief and life transitions, including pet loss. I am also a pet owner and have experienced the heartbreak of saying goodbye to beloved companions who were part of my family. I understand how deeply woven into daily life that bond can be, and how disorienting the silence can feel.
Along with personal understanding, I bring professional training and years of experience supporting people during times of significant loss.
When you lose a beloved pet, it can feel like a piece of your daily life has been pulled away. In our work together, there is room for the tears, the stories, the guilt, and the love. My role is to walk alongside you with steadiness and care as you move through this difficult time.
You deserve steady support as you begin adjusting to life without them.
